Musical Comedy

Set in the roaring twenties, Chicago is the story of Roxie Hart, an ambitious chorus girl who dreams of becoming famous. Sent to jail for committing murder, Roxie joins another famous stage performer and murderess, Velma Kelly, as they vie for the spotlight and seek to capitalize on pre-trial publicity to win their freedom and catapult their stage careers. Their slick lawyer, Billy Flynn, manages to convince both juries to free Roxie and Velma; however, the celebration only lasts until another woman steals the limelight with her own courtroom caper. This razzle-dazzle satire is sure to entertain but is not intended for younger audiences.

"Chicago (High School Edition)" is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
